Happy to be Here!!

Welcome to my new blog. I have thought about the committment of writing this blog for the last 3 years, but needed to start after I sent the last tuition check for my youngest son back to Cabrini College near Philadelphia. My wife and I are now starting a new and different chapter in our lives. I love to teach. I am committed to teaching you these next 4 years on a regular basis the lessons I have and continue to learn in the practice of podiatric medicine. But, as medicine has been learned one patient at a time, I am sure I will continue to learn more from you, than you from me. My patients continue to teach me more than any textbook. I have tried to be open-minded, always willing to learn, and still in love with what I do. I watched Julie & Julia and got reinspired to write. My goal is 1000 posts. With vacation days, it will take 4 years to complete. I hope this will fight back anything that ails me, and bring life to these fingers. Today the Jayhawks lost, but Cal (my alma mater) will teach Duke a lesson tomorrow. I have no followers yet. Perhaps I will have none, but my spirit to practice medicine already fills more at peace. Talk to you soon. Dr Rich Blake
