Hi Dr. Blake, just wanted to share my great experience with these sandals. They are comfortable, with a good arch, and the sole is also pretty stiff. The adjustable velcro is great. I have long skinny feet, and they were a little wide for me, so I just bought some velcro at a fabric store and added a little extra, and they worked great. Highly recommended, stable shoe for use on the sand.
