Fifth Metatarsal Oblique Fracture

The above fifth metatarsal fracture is common in my practice. With the small displacement, our surgeon did not feel it needed surgery so the patient was placed in a removable boot to protect and create a pain free environment. The boot is for 3 months, and I will also check the insurance for approval of a bone stimulator to help with healing.
