These 2 peroneal tendon exercises are very crucial following ankle sprains, as a way of strengthening your arches (especially peroneus longus), as a protection if you are a supinator, and a stabilizer of the first and fifth metatarsals. I teach these exercises many times each week to my patients. As you add resistance within each color band, add sets and reps, add greater and greater strength with other bands, you can easily triple the strength of these vital tendons over a year. Remember Rome was not built in a day, so gradually work on these with monthly increases in strength and power.
Welcome to the Podiatry Blog of Dr Richard Blake of San Francisco. I hope the pages can help you learn about caring for foot injuries, or help you with your own injury.
