Should I preheat my foot before doing the mobilizations? I live in an icy country and walking with cold foot surely is painful for my big foot toe. The pain is much less severe when the feet are warm, e.g. in running. How about applying contrast baths for Hallux Limitus?
ReplyDeleteContrast bathing is great for chronic, low grade swelling. Heat is a great idea before mobilization or stretching. 3-5 minutes with a warm towel over the big toe joint before mobilization should help a lot. Dr Rich Blake
