I hope this video brings out several key points:
- Leg Length evalualtion should be done standing
- Blocks of measured thicknesses are used to level the spine after the short leg is measured
- The 3 landmarks are 2 pelvic and 1 femoral and could all be different (your job is to make sense of it)
- These standing 3 landmarks are most reliable with a Standing AP Pelvic Xray
- The hands or thumbs should be kept parallel to each other and to the ground
- The examiner's eyes should be at the level of their hands
- The treatment, based on the exam, should be done gradually with increasing lifts
